Muleekolhu Raalhugandu 2025 Wraps Up in Style

The reef at M. Muli has spoken. The opening event of the Dhivehi Surf League 2025, Muleekolhu Raalhugandu, has concluded with power-packed heats and fierce showdowns that lit up the surf scene — and set the tone for the season ahead.

Men’s Open Final: Ammadey vs. Smiley

The Men’s Open division saw Ahmed Agil (Ammadey) square off against Ismail Rasheed (Smiley) in a tight and crowd-hyped final. Ammadey entered the matchup fresh off a dominant semifinal performance, and while Smiley kept the pressure on, the heat ultimately ended with Ammadey claiming victory at 12.07 points over Smiley’s 11.33 — a close clash that lived up to its billing.

Junior Division Final: Sayyid Salahudheen Sets the Bar

In the Junior finals, Sayyid Salahudheen faced off against Yousuf Kayan, carrying the momentum of a surgical semifinal display. Sayyid didn’t ease off — he doubled down and stacked a massive 18-point total, not only clinching the win but also securing the highest single-heat score across the entire event. A big congratulations goes out to the champions, Ahmed Agil, Sayyid Salahudheen, and all the finalists for delivering standout performances. Hats off as well to the Maldives Surfing Association for kicking off this year’s Dhivehi Surf League with an explosive opener that’s left both spectators and athletes fired up for what’s next. All eyes now turn to “Kerandoo”, the league’s second stop and a brand-new addition to the calendar. Announced to unfold from September 3rd to 6th at L. Maabaidhoo, a new stop on the league circuit, this next chapter promises to keep the momentum alive and the stakes high
